Speaker: Rev Andrew Stewart

About the Speaker
Andrew Stewart grew up in Northern Ireland where he was led to saving faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. After studies at university he was called to the gospel ministry and served for 8 years as the minister of Glenmanus Reformed Presbyterian Church in Portrush. In 1998 he became a minister of the Geelong Reformed Presbyterian Church in Australia. He is married to Katie and they have two children, Adam and Mei. His commentaries on 1 & 2 Chronicles: A Family Tree and A House of Prayer - have been published by Evangelical Press in their popular Welwyn Commentary Series. Currently he is working on a commentary on Deuteronomy for that series.Andrew will be speaking on "The Gospel in Deuteronomy". Although the book of Deuteronomy is a sermon on the laws of Israel, it sets out God's gracious purpose for His redeemed people, and demonstrates that these purposes are accomplished only through atonement and spiritual renewal. These are the great gospel themes which are amplified in the final complete revelation of the New Testament.
